Why Are Microgreens Healthy?

Microgreens are a genuine ‘superfood’.

They are nutrient dense with a concentrated sources of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Compared to their adult counterparts, they contain up to 90x the vitamins.

Microgreens are eaten raw.

This helps them retain their nutrients. Cooking destroys enzymes, vitamins, and phytonutrients.

Eating freshly harvested food.

This guarantees the highest level of vitamins and nutrients that the plant has to offer.  We distribute only to the local area of Marina Alta and harvest on the day of delivery.

Vitamins and minerals

Naturally!

the good stuff

Each microgreen variety had its own balance of good stuff, but generally speaking, microgreens are a great way to get your vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. These are the raw materials that your body uses to perform hundreds of actions every day – from making your skin glow, to healing wounds and strengthening your bones.

vitamins

These are organic substances made by plants or animals. Microgreens tend to be rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, and carotenoids

minerals

These originally come from the earth and water & are then absorbed by plants and stored in their seeds and plant mass.  The minerals microgreens tend to be the richest in are potassium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and copper

antioxidants

Antioxidants counteract unstable molecules that damage our body’s cells and DNA. One category of antioxidants, called polyphenols, is abundantly rich in brassica microgreens – like our micro mustard – with samples containing 164 unique types
